5 Easy and Healthy Snacks.

As I was re-reading my Surviving Finals post, I realized I didn’t include any tutorials in fun and easy snacks that one could make! All of these healthy snacks are my go to’s and I love them! For those in college without a fridge you can at least make 3/5 of these snacks and trust me they are amazing and so simple to make!

  1. Apples and Nut Butter

What you will need:

  • 1-2 Apples
  • 1TSBP of any kind of nut butter you prefer

All you have to do is slice up your apple(s) and place about 1TBSP of nut butter with the apples and you’re ready to start snacking! The apple(s) and nut butter will keep you energized during the day and taste amazing!

2. Frozen Creamy Peanut Butter

What you will need:

  • 8oz Lite Cool Whip
  • 1/2 cup of Creamy Peanut Butter
  • Cupcake liners

This is one of my favorites for when I am craving something sweet, but I want it to be somewhat filling and healthy! All you have to do is combine an 8oz container of Lite Cool Whip with a 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter. Then mix the two ingredients together and put into a ziplock or piping bag. Once that’s done pipe the mixture into the cupcake liners and place in the freezer to set for about 30-45 minuets and they’re done!

3. Banana Nut Butter Sandwiches

What you will need:

  • 1 Banana
  • 2TSBP of nut butter (or Peanut Butter)

This one is so simple! Slice up a banana and place the nut butter in-between 2 slices of the banana making it like a small sandwich. Repeat until you’ve used up your entire banana and enjoy! Takes little to no time to complete!

4. Granola Ball Bites

What you will need:

  • 1/2 cup of Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 cup of Honey
  • 1 1/4 cups of Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1/3 cup of mini chocolate morsels (if you’re really craving chocolate add in the same amount of mini M&Ms!)

Personally this is one of my favorite snacks to make and of course eat! I made these all the time at home and my mom and I loved them! First off combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until they are all well combined. Then scoop up a spoonful amount and roll into a ball using your hands. Fair warning it will be sticky so wash your hands about every 3 balls made. Place them on a lined cookie sheet and set in the fridge for about 30-40 minutes or until hard and they are ready to be eaten!

5. Peanut Butter Rice Cakes

What you will need:

  • 1-2 Rice Cakes of any flavor you like (I used the caramel flavored ones!)
  • Creamy Peanut Butter

Everyday during the school year you could find these in my backpack to snack on! I love how simple and easy they are to take on the go! All you have to do is spread the peanut butter on the rice cakes and you’re done! After I was looking at the pictures I thought mini chocolates would be good on these too!
